Surface Maps

	Source	Description
	Illinois	A good archive for hourly temperature, dewpoint, surface pressure, and surface observations. Data is available from April 1999 to the current hour.
	UNISYS	US Surface Maps with fronts, Precipitation, and surface observations. Maps given every 12 hours at 00 and 12z. Maps are available from past years to the current time.

Satellite Images

	Source	Description
	Illinois	Hourly Visible, IR, and Water Vapor imagery available up to current date. Launch image then push archive button at the bottom of the new window. Data is available up to the current hour.
	UNISYS	Infrared Images given for 00z and 12z times. Images include the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans along with the US. Data is available up to the current day.
	NCDC	GOES East and West IR and Water Vapor Satellite Images since 1992. Data availble up to current day.

Radar Images

	Source	Description
	Illinois	Reflectivity and Velocity Data for Illinois, US, and Midwest. Available from the past few days up to current hour.
	UCAR	Radar data that you can specify for anywhere in the US. ARCHIVES FOR ONLY 10 DAYS!! You have to wait until the time of the image is 2 days old.
	NCDC	National Radar data since 1995. Not up to current month.

Upper Air Maps

	Source	Description
	UNISYS	Maps for 850mb, 300mb and the surface are given on one plot. The ETA analysis is used at 00 and 12z intervals. Available up to current date.
	Wyoming	A good source of constant pressure maps(850mb,500mb, etc.) and SOUNDINGS for Canada and the US. Available up to current day.

Tropical Data

	Source	Description
	John Hopkins	SST composite anaylsis for every day up to present day since 1997. It also lets up pick the region for the SST analysis. Check this site first for your data.
	UNISYS	SST analysis and anomalies for the past year. Times are inconsistent.
